How long does it take to build a new tennis court?

The construction time depends on the site, ground conditions, drainage requirements and chosen surface. Most projects take several weeks from excavation and groundwork through to surfacing, line marking and final completion.

We can install a range of surfaces, including porous macadam, synthetic grass and other specialist sports surfaces. The right choice will depend on how the court will be used, your budget and the level of maintenance required.

The site usually needs to be excavated, levelled and prepared with a suitable sub-base. Drainage may also need to be installed before the final playing surface is constructed. Good groundwork is essential to the long-term performance of the court.

Yes, effective drainage is extremely important for an outdoor tennis court. A well-designed drainage system helps remove surface water quickly, reduces disruption after heavy rain and protects the court structure from water-related damage.

In some cases, yes. The existing surface and foundations first need to be inspected for movement, cracking, drainage problems and overall condition. If the base is suitable, resurfacing may be possible without completely rebuilding the court.

Yes. Perimeter fencing can be included as part of a new tennis court installation. Different heights and specifications are available depending on the location, surrounding area and how the court will be used.

Yes. Tennis courts can be designed for schools, sports clubs, leisure facilities, local authorities and private properties. The specification can be tailored to the expected level of use, available space and budget.

Maintenance varies according to the surface. Typical work can include sweeping, moss and algae treatment, pressure cleaning, repairing damaged areas and maintaining line markings. Regular maintenance helps keep the court safe and looking its best.
